CHIN YEE WENG
Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Chin Yee Weng is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ethereal Capital. He brings with him more than 13 years of capital markets experience, encompassing fund management, equity research and strategic asset allocation
Prior to founding Ethereal Capital, Yee Weng was a Senior Portfolio Manager with a family office and before that, UOB Asset Management (Malaysia) (“UOBAM(M)”). His investment management experiences include managing more than RM800m in AUM, covering different types of mandates such as unit trust funds, government pension funds, insurance funds, investment-linked funds, and absolute return private mandates. His fund performances were consistently ranked highly among peers, and he was instrumental in delivering multiple award-winning performances for unit trust funds managed by him. He first joined UOBAM(M) as an equity analyst and he was subsequently promoted to a portfolio manager.
Yee Weng started his career with Prudential Singapore as an actuary. He is a Bachelor of Business graduate with a double specialization in Actuarial Science and Banking and Finance from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Yee Weng is a CFA Charter holder.
SEE KWAN CHIAN
Co-Founder & Chief Investment Officer
See Kwan Chian is the co-founder and Chief Investment Officer of Ethereal Capital. He has over 12 years of experience in the capital markets, with diverse experiences involving fund management, venture capital and corporate finance. His investment management experiences include managing funds of more than RM1.0b in AUM, covering mandates such as unit trust funds and investment linked funds.
Prior to founding Ethereal Capital, he was working as a fund manager with institutions such as Tokio Marine, Principal Asset Management and Meridian Asset Management. Prior to fund management, he was an analyst in the corporate finance department with Maybank Investment Bank. He was the grand winner of the Kenanga Trading Challenge 2014. He graduated with a double major degree in Accounting and Finance from Monash University. Kwan Chian is a CFA Charter holder.
